There is a hot steel sheet pile in China, whether it is hot-rolled AZ type or cold-formed U-type, they are all sought after in the market. Here are six applications you might use in your construction projects!
1. Temporary shallow excavation foundation operations and road projects
Usually, No. 3 and No. 4 sheet piles with locks can keep the excavation work dry and the environment unaffected. The length of steel sheet piles varies from 6 meters to 15 meters, and excavators are often used to drive piles with vibratory hammers. Whenever you see an excavator working nearby, you are bound to see sheet piles in use!
2. Waterproof cofferdam in the river
Usually, the wider No. 6 pile is used. The interlocking sheet piles are between 15 and 24 meters in length and are driven by a hydraulic vibratory hammer Model 416L. For more complex soils that may contain gravel, choose a medium-sized hammer such as the 815C. The cofferdam provides a dry dock for the construction of concrete foundations. 3. Deep foundations that need to avoid the use of mud and diaphragm walls

These applications require AZ-type sheet piles in lengths of 24-36m. For excavation depths up to 20 meters, these wide sheet piles are economical and provide great lateral load-bearing capacity. For projects in the city center, it is recommended to use a resonance-free hammer. The vibration-free hammer will not affect the surrounding subways, natural gas pipelines, and adjacent buildings. 28RF and 36RF are often selected to complete the construction of these projects.
4. AZ-type steel sheet piles are also commonly used as permanent harbor walls
These harsh environments require the selection of rust-resistant high-grade steel. Special coatings can be given to steel sheet piles which are most subject to seawater and wind corrosion. Due to the relatively large length and weight of the steel sheet piles for this type of wall, it is recommended to use a large vibratory hammer, such as 55NF or 1412C, and an NL impact hammer is often required to complete the last few meters of pile sinking.

It can obtain two functions good soil retention and good bearing capacity. The medium 815C and larger 1412C hammers are often chosen for these construction projects.
Concrete sheet piles! On the banks of rivers and waterways, concrete sheet piles are less costly and more attractive. Standard-strength concrete piles can be driven with a hydraulic vibratory hammer. Thinner concrete sheet piles are easily damaged by resonance, and a resonance-free hydraulic hammer must be used.
Although plastic sheet piles and plastic sheet piles cannot support heavy loads, they are very suitable for waterproofing of embankments and support in shallow water.
